Thank You This discussion is related to Gallbladder and Anxiety Issues. Can a low functioning gallbladder cause all of these symptoms or is this something else? Is getting my gallbladder removed a possible solution? I would appreciate any advice that can be given. In the past, I have also had a heaviness or fullness in my ears, vertigo, a sudden pink flush all over my body that goes away in several hours, the palms of my hands and souls of my feet will turn bright red for several hours, and many body aches that come on suddenly and go away suddenly. I saw a gastroenterologist in June and they are looking again at the gallbladder but they just seem confounded by all my symptoms. The ativan really did not help much so I have been drinking Chamomile tea which helps a little with anxiety. She gave me something to take (ativan) when I felt anxiety coming on. I went to my regular Doctor who felt that it was caused by stress because of all that is going on. On May 22nd started having irregular heartbeats and a racing heart. This turned into regular diarrhea which I had for four or five days. Finally, a small amount of blood came out with little bits of skin? The next day I started having diarrhea with bright yellow liquid in it. I would drink water and get pain in my right side, lay down, and all that water would almost explode from the area of pain in my right side and I would have to rush to the bathroom and all that would come out was clear water. By Monday evening, I felt as though I had to go to the bathroom (diarrhea like) but the only thing that came out was Clear water - no color at all. On Mother's Day I had a rather large meal, including chicken. A few weeks later I started having all sorts of muscle aches, my left hip, my right shoulder, and sometimes all over, as if I had the flu. ![]() They found nothing - no blockage or infection. At the emergency room, they did a CT scan with IV Contrast. This happens much more often after eating and especially the day after I have eaten any meat. When that bubble is finally released, I get some relief. In April, I ended up in the emergency room because I tried to drive to work and had to pull over (my pain is much worse in a sitting position and especially when I am stuck in one position driving my car.) I often feel as if there is a golf ball suck in my right side or a bubble of air. The ultrasound of my gallbladder looked fine so surgery was not recommended at that time. I had a Hida scan in 2005 which showed that my gallbladder was functioning at 12 percent. I have had pain in my right side since 2003 which seems to be getting worse. ![]()
